Anita Baker was fantastic...PacAmp Disappointed
Rapture album most of her set was from. Her voice...all I can say is...she still has the pipes. Wow, can she belt out a tune. She was energetic and had the audience on their feet. TroyBoi and her ensemble gave a great performance Saturday evening.
The Pacific Amphitheater set a 9:30 curfew for her performance. ON A SATURDAY NIGHT, NO LESS!! Sorry for the downer review for such a wonderful performance by a very talented lady but I really wanted to express my dismay with the Pac Amp. If the PacAmp continues this practice this will be my last concert there. I was shocked when she finished a song, the curtain closed and the house lights came on. But around 9:25 she told us that she was required to stop the performance at 9:30. At 9:05 she said something about having 25 minutes left and every ten minutes or so counted down 'til 9:30. She arrived on stage just after 8:15 and sang all the way until they kicked her off at 9:30.
